Delivery, Shipping & Collection Policy

Effective Date: 25 September 2026
Last Updated: 25 September 2026

This Policy explains how Eco Tech Recycle manages delivery, shipping, courier arrangements, customer collection, return delivery and related logistics for services arranged directly with us.
Eco Tech Recycle is a trading name of Tech Cell Limited.
This Policy should be read together with the applicable quotation, invoice, collection confirmation, sales terms, repair terms and other relevant Eco Tech Recycle policies.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or restricts statutory rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Key Points at a Glance
Delivery and collection methods depend on the equipment, location, service and safety requirements.
Delivery or collection dates may be estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Consumer sales remain subject to statutory delivery and transit-risk rules.
Where Eco Tech Recycle arranges delivery to a consumer, applicable law determines when transit risk passes to the customer.
Different rules may apply where a customer independently appoints their own carrier.
Customers must provide accurate address, access and collection information.
Lithium batteries and damaged electronic equipment may require special transport arrangements.
Unsafe batteries must be disclosed before shipping or collection.
Failed collection or delivery charges may apply where appropriately disclosed and lawfully chargeable.
Courier claims do not replace a consumer’s statutory rights against Eco Tech Recycle.
Customer collection is by arrangement and equipment will only be released where appropriate authority can be established.

1. Scope
This Policy may apply to logistics arranged directly with Eco Tech Recycle, including:
delivery of direct-sale equipment;
return of repaired or refurbished customer-owned devices;
customer collection from Eco Tech Recycle;
courier shipments;
postal shipments;
return shipments;
collection of customer equipment;
business and school collections;
pallet transport;
collection of equipment for assessment or valuation;
buy-back logistics; and
other agreed delivery or collection arrangements.
The precise terms may depend on the type of transaction.

2. Marketplace Transactions
Where a transaction is completed through an independent marketplace such as eBay, the applicable marketplace:
delivery process;
return process;
buyer-protection arrangements;
shipping requirements; and
transaction terms
may also apply.
Customers should use the applicable marketplace process where required.
Nothing in this section removes statutory rights that apply independently of the marketplace process.

3. Delivery and Collection Methods
Depending on the service, equipment, quantity and location, Eco Tech Recycle may arrange or agree:
customer collection;
Eco Tech Recycle delivery;
Eco Tech Recycle collection;
third-party courier;
postal service;
tracked parcel service;
pallet transport;
business collection route;
specialist transport; or
another agreed method.
Available options may depend on:
device type;
dimensions;
weight;
quantity;
value;
location;
lithium-battery status;
equipment condition;
insurance availability;
courier restrictions;
site access; and
operational availability.

4. Delivery Information
Before dispatch, we may require information including:
recipient name;
delivery address;
postcode;
telephone number;
email address;
business or organisation name;
site contact;
access instructions; and
other information reasonably necessary to complete the delivery.
Customers should ensure that information supplied is accurate.

5. Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and sufficiently complete address and contact information.
Incorrect information may result in:
delay;
failed delivery;
redirection;
return to sender; or
additional courier charges.
Where incorrect information has been provided by the customer, reasonable additional costs caused by the error may be chargeable where permitted by law and the applicable agreement.
However, this does not exclude responsibility where Eco Tech Recycle or a carrier acting on our behalf has caused the relevant addressing or delivery error.

6. Delivery Times
Delivery dates or timeframes may be stated as estimates unless expressly confirmed as binding.
Factors affecting delivery may include:
courier operations;
traffic;
weather;
location;
access;
payment;
customer response;
parts availability;
equipment testing;
safety requirements;
lithium-battery restrictions;
strikes or disruption; and
circumstances reasonably outside our control.
We will aim to communicate material delays where reasonably practicable.

7. Consumer Delivery Rights
Where Eco Tech Recycle sells goods to a consumer, statutory delivery requirements apply.
Unless a different delivery time or period has been agreed, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 provides that goods must be delivered:
without undue delay; and
in any event, not more than 30 days after the contract is entered into.
Where an agreed delivery deadline is essential, or where other statutory conditions are met, additional consumer remedies may apply if delivery does not occur as required. Legislation.gov.uk
Nothing in this Policy overrides those statutory rights.

8. Collection Times
Collection times or collection windows may also be estimates unless expressly agreed as binding.
Collection may be affected by:
traffic;
previous collections;
access;
parking;
loading requirements;
quantity changes;
equipment condition;
safety issues; or
other operational circumstances.
Customers should ensure that equipment and authorised personnel are available during the agreed collection arrangements.

9. Payment Before Release or Dispatch
Where applicable, payment may be required before equipment is:
released;
dispatched;
returned;
delivered; or
made available for collection.
This may apply to:
direct sales;
repair invoices;
diagnostic charges;
return shipping;
agreed storage charges;
delivery charges; or
other chargeable services.
Any payment requirement remains subject to applicable law and the specific agreement.

10. Packaging by Eco Tech Recycle
Where Eco Tech Recycle is responsible for packaging equipment for dispatch, we will aim to use packaging reasonably appropriate for:
the equipment;
its condition;
the transport method; and
applicable carrier requirements.
Packaging may include suitable reused or recycled packaging where appropriate.
Using reused packaging does not reduce our obligation to package goods with reasonable care for the intended transport route.

11. Customer Packaging
Where a customer is responsible for sending equipment to Eco Tech Recycle, the customer should package it appropriately for transit.
Depending on the device, this may include:
a strong outer box;
appropriate internal protection;
protection around screens;
protection against movement;
separation of loose accessories;
secure sealing; and
compliance with applicable carrier requirements.
Royal Mail also advises using robust packaging and appropriate protective material for fragile parcels. Royal Mail
Customers should not send unsafe equipment through a standard postal or courier service where the carrier prohibits it.

12. Reused Packaging
As part of our reuse-first approach, Eco Tech Recycle may reuse suitable:
boxes;
protective packaging;
packing material; or
other shipping materials.
Packaging will only be reused where we consider it reasonably suitable for the intended shipment.

13. Lithium Batteries
Electronic equipment containing lithium batteries may be subject to:
courier restrictions;
postal restrictions;
packaging requirements;
quantity limits;
labelling requirements;
transport restrictions; or
refusal by particular carriers.
The appropriate route depends on the equipment, battery condition and carrier requirements.
A device should not be sent simply because it fits within ordinary parcel dimensions if its battery condition makes standard transport inappropriate.

14. Damaged or Unsafe Batteries
Customers must tell us before shipping or collection if they know or reasonably suspect that a battery is:
swollen;
leaking;
punctured;
crushed;
overheating;
burnt;
fire damaged;
severely impact damaged; or
otherwise unsafe.
Unsafe or defective lithium batteries may require a different transport or treatment route.
Customers should not send a visibly dangerous lithium battery or severely fire-damaged battery through an ordinary postal or courier service without first agreeing an appropriate route with Eco Tech Recycle and ensuring that the selected carrier permits the shipment.
Eco Tech Recycle may refuse normal collection or shipping where safe and lawful transport cannot reasonably be arranged.

15. Other Restricted or Unsafe Equipment
Special arrangements may also be required for:
severely damaged electronic equipment;
contaminated equipment;
leaking equipment;
exposed batteries;
unusually heavy equipment;
equipment containing hazardous components; or
other items subject to carrier restrictions.
Customers and organisations should disclose relevant safety issues before collection or shipment.

16. Risk in Transit – Consumer Sales
Where Eco Tech Recycle sells and dispatches goods to a consumer, statutory risk rules apply.
Under Section 29 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods generally remain at the trader’s risk until they come into the physical possession of:
the consumer; or
a person identified by the consumer to take possession of them.
This means that where Eco Tech Recycle selects or arranges the ordinary delivery service for a consumer sale, the fact that the parcel has been handed to a courier does not by itself transfer transit risk to the consumer. Legislation.gov.uk

17. Consumer-Appointed Carrier
Different rules apply where:
the consumer independently commissions a carrier;
that carrier was chosen by the consumer; and
the carrier was not one Eco Tech Recycle named as an available delivery option.
In that situation, the Consumer Rights Act provides that risk may pass to the consumer when the goods are delivered to that carrier. Legislation.gov.uk
The carrier may separately have liability to the customer under the applicable transport agreement.

18. Customer-Owned Equipment in Transit
Where a customer’s own device is being transported for:
repair;
diagnosis;
refurbishment;
valuation;
buy-back assessment; or
another service,
responsibility for transit will depend on:
who arranged the transport;
the agreed service;
applicable courier terms;
applicable insurance;
packaging responsibility;
applicable law; and
any specific written agreement.
We will not use this Policy to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

19. Business-to-Business Transit
For genuine business-to-business arrangements, risk and transport responsibility may be specified in:
a quotation;
collection confirmation;
purchase agreement;
service agreement;
invoice terms; or
another written contract.
Where no specific term has been agreed, responsibility will be determined according to the applicable contract and law.

20. Tracking
Where available and appropriate, a shipment may have:
tracking number;
courier reference;
collection reference;
delivery confirmation; or
proof of delivery.
Tracking information may be provided to the customer where appropriate.
Tracking updates supplied by a carrier are subject to that carrier’s systems and may occasionally be delayed or inaccurate.

21. Customer Collection
Customer collection from Eco Tech Recycle is by prior arrangement.
Before releasing equipment, we may reasonably request:
customer name;
order or repair reference;
identification;
payment confirmation;
collection confirmation; or
evidence of authority to collect.
The level of verification will depend on the equipment and circumstances.

22. Collection by Another Person
Where another person is collecting equipment on behalf of the customer, we may request advance written authority.
The authorised person may also be asked to provide:
identification;
collection reference; or
other reasonable confirmation.
We may refuse to release equipment where we cannot reasonably establish authority to collect it.
This is intended to protect customer equipment and data.

23. Business and School Collections
Collections from businesses, schools, colleges, charities, public-sector bodies and other organisations should normally be agreed in advance.
Information may include:
organisation name;
site address;
site contact;
telephone number;
access details;
parking information;
loading information;
collection window;
equipment quantity;
equipment type;
floor or lift information;
safeguarding or visitor procedures;
security requirements;
authority to release equipment; and
required handover documentation.
Our Business & School Collection Terms may also apply.

24. Equipment Ready for Collection
Unless otherwise agreed, equipment should be reasonably prepared for collection.
This may include:
equipment gathered in the agreed location;
equipment reasonably accessible;
correct quantity available;
relevant staff aware of the collection;
access arranged;
necessary authority available; and
undisclosed unsafe items separated and identified.
Large changes to quantity or equipment type should be communicated before collection.

25. Failed Collections
A collection may be considered failed or materially disrupted where, for example:
the site is closed;
the customer or site contact is unavailable;
access cannot be obtained;
equipment is not available;
the equipment materially differs from what was agreed;
loading cannot safely take place;
necessary parking or access information was materially incorrect;
undisclosed unsafe equipment is presented;
the collection is cancelled at short notice; or
another customer-controlled issue prevents the agreed collection.
A reasonable failed-collection or wasted-journey charge may apply where:
the possibility of the charge was appropriately communicated or agreed;
the failure was not caused by Eco Tech Recycle; and
the charge is lawful and reasonable in the circumstances.
We do not apply a blanket charge where doing so would conflict with applicable consumer law or the agreed terms.

26. Failed Deliveries
A delivery may fail where, for example:
the delivery address is incorrect;
access cannot be obtained;
no authorised recipient is available where one is required;
the customer has requested an unavailable delivery arrangement; or
another relevant customer-controlled issue prevents delivery.
Where a further delivery attempt creates additional costs, reasonable charges may apply where appropriately disclosed and lawfully chargeable.
This does not affect consumer rights where the failed delivery resulted from Eco Tech Recycle or a carrier for whom Eco Tech Recycle remains responsible.

27. Missed Courier Delivery
Where a courier attempts delivery but the recipient is unavailable, the courier may:
attempt redelivery;
leave instructions;
deliver to an authorised collection point;
return the parcel to sender; or
follow another process under its terms.
Customers should follow the relevant tracking instructions.
If a parcel is returned to Eco Tech Recycle, additional redelivery charges may apply where lawful and where the failed delivery was attributable to circumstances for which the customer is responsible.

28. Damaged Deliveries
If equipment supplied or returned by Eco Tech Recycle arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Where available, please retain:
outer packaging;
internal packaging;
shipping label; and
the affected equipment.
Please provide:
photographs of the outer packaging;
photographs of internal packaging;
photographs of the equipment;
tracking number;
delivery date; and
description of the damage.
Prompt evidence may help us investigate the incident with the carrier.

29. Consumer Rights and Courier Claims
Where Eco Tech Recycle is legally responsible to a consumer for delivery, the customer’s rights against Eco Tech Recycle are not conditional on Eco Tech Recycle successfully recovering compensation from a courier.
A courier investigation may take place separately.
For example, Section 29 of the Consumer Rights Act keeps risk with the trader in the ordinary trader-arranged consumer delivery until physical possession passes as specified by the Act. Legislation.gov.uk
We will not require a consumer to resolve our own courier claim as a condition of exercising applicable statutory rights.

30. Missing Parcels
If a parcel appears to be lost, customers should contact us with:
order, repair or shipment reference;
tracking number;
expected delivery date; and
relevant delivery information.
We may investigate with the relevant carrier.
The appropriate remedy will depend on:
ownership of the equipment;
who arranged the shipment;
applicable consumer rights;
carrier terms;
insurance; and
the particular agreement.

31. Missing Items From a Parcel

If a delivered parcel appears to be missing equipment, components or accessories, customers should notify us promptly.
Where possible, provide:
photographs of the package as received;
packaging condition;
list of missing items;
delivery information; and
any evidence of tampering or damage.
We may compare this with dispatch, intake or repair records where available.

32. Return Delivery After Repair
Customer-owned equipment may be returned following completion of:
repair;
diagnosis;
refurbishment;
assessment; or
another agreed service.
Return delivery may be subject to:
completion of agreed work;
payment of applicable charges;
confirmation of return address;
suitable packaging;
transport safety; and
applicable shipping charges.
The Repair, Refurbishment & Returned Device Service Policy may also apply.

33. Return Shipping Charges
Return shipping charges may depend on:
reason for return;
device type;
weight;
location;
service level;
insurance;
transaction type; and
applicable statutory rights.
Where a consumer is returning faulty goods and applicable consumer law requires Eco Tech Recycle to bear reasonable return costs, those statutory requirements will apply.
For example, where a consumer validly rejects goods under the Consumer Rights Act, Section 20 provides that the trader bears reasonable return costs, subject to the statutory provisions. Legislation.gov.uk

34. Return Labels
Eco Tech Recycle may provide a return label where agreed.
A return label should only be used for:
the agreed customer;
agreed shipment;
agreed equipment; and
agreed service.
Customers should not add:
unrelated devices;
additional equipment;
prohibited goods;
undisclosed damaged batteries; or
other items not covered by the agreed shipment.
Unauthorised additions may create safety issues, delays or additional charges.

35. Customer-Arranged Returns
Where a customer independently arranges return shipping, they should consider:
suitable packaging;
tracking;
appropriate insurance;
carrier restrictions;
battery requirements; and
proof of postage or collection.
The legal responsibility for transit will depend on the reason for return and applicable law.
Nothing in this section transfers a statutory responsibility to a consumer where the law places that responsibility on Eco Tech Recycle.

36. Remote and Difficult Locations
Additional logistics arrangements or charges may apply to:
remote areas;
islands;
restricted-access sites;
locations outside normal courier coverage;
upper-floor collections without suitable lift access;
sites with difficult loading conditions;
unusually heavy equipment;
palletised loads; or
locations requiring specialist transport.
Any material additional charge should be communicated or agreed before the relevant chargeable service is provided.

37. Heavy or Palletised Equipment
Large quantities or heavy equipment may require:
palletisation;
loading assistance;
tail-lift vehicle;
forklift access;
suitable loading bay;
specialist vehicle; or
additional personnel.
The collection or delivery arrangement should identify relevant requirements where reasonably possible.
Customers should disclose access limitations before booking.

38. Changes to Collection Quantity
Collection arrangements and pricing may depend on the quantity and type of equipment originally disclosed.
If the actual load is materially:
larger;
smaller;
heavier;
different in type; or
different in condition
from the information provided, Eco Tech Recycle may need to:
revise the collection arrangement;
use a different vehicle;
revise a quotation;
collect only eligible equipment;
reschedule;
apply an agreed additional charge; or
refuse unsafe or unsuitable items.
Any action will remain subject to applicable law and the relevant service terms.

39. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Customers should notify us as early as reasonably possible if a delivery or collection needs to be cancelled or rescheduled.
Where a specific cancellation or wasted-journey charge applies, it should be communicated through the relevant booking or agreement.
Charges will only be applied where lawful and reasonable.
Our Business & School Collection Terms or other service-specific terms may contain additional cancellation provisions.

40. Proof of Handover or Delivery
Depending on the service, Eco Tech Recycle may maintain evidence such as:
courier tracking;
delivery confirmation;
collection confirmation;
signature;
photographs;
asset list;
waste documentation;
repair return record; or
other appropriate handover evidence.
The type of evidence retained will depend on the transaction and applicable requirements.

41. Privacy and Delivery Information
We may need to process personal information for delivery and collection purposes, including:
names;
addresses;
telephone numbers;
email addresses;
site contacts;
delivery instructions; and
signatures or proof of delivery.
Information may be shared with couriers or logistics providers where reasonably necessary to complete the service.
Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

42. Business Collections and Waste Documentation
Where a collection involves equipment that is legally waste, appropriate waste documentation and waste-handling requirements may apply separately from ordinary delivery arrangements.
Our logistics documentation does not itself determine whether equipment is waste or non-waste.
Where relevant, our:
Recycling & WEEE Policy; and
Business & School Collection Terms
should also be read.

43. Liability and Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Policy excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude or restrict:
statutory consumer rights;
liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence;
liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Any limitation applicable to a genuine business-to-business logistics arrangement should be set out in the applicable written agreement and remain subject to law.

44. Complaints
If you experience a problem with a delivery, shipment or collection, please contact:

Suggested subject:

Please provide the relevant:
reference number;
tracking information;

address;
description of the problem; and
supporting photographs where applicable.
Complaints will be handled in accordance with our Complaints Policy.

45. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in:
courier arrangements;
collection processes;
delivery services;
carrier restrictions;
transport safety requirements;
applicable law;
regulatory guidance; or
business operations.
The latest version will be published on our website with an updated Last Updated date.
Changes will not retrospectively remove statutory rights already acquired under an existing transaction where doing so would be unlawful.

46. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy and direct services provided by Eco Tech Recycle are generally governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Where the customer is a consumer, nothing in this section removes mandatory protections or jurisdictional rights available under applicable law.
